Chycara occupies 14 beautiful acres of the Bissoe Valley. This tranquil setting is home to an abundance of Trees, plants, ponds, streams & wildlife – providing a stunning backdrop for a fun and relaxed wedding day.
With accommodation for up to 23 people, there’s no need for your immediate friends and family to need to leave the site. if you need extra beds for the night, there is more accommodation within a 6-minute drive.
Arrive on the Friday, stay the night and wake up ready for the ceremony the following morning.
After a day of celebrations, dancing and memories, stroll back to bed in our onsite lodges without having to worry about taxi’s.
Couples enjoy guaranteed availability across all our accommodation if they want, plus there’s no requirement to book ANY accommodation if you don’t want it. Although we think the best experience for our couples is to have their own exclusive accommodation area for the weekend.
Chycara is a licensed venue for holding your civil ceremony.
Our wedding gazebo sits quietly on an island, connected to your guests by a wooden bridge, giving you a sense of serenity and privacy, whilst friends and family watch nearby.
Couples are able to feel a sense of intimacy on the island that few other wedding venues can offer – with excitable guests adorning the area around you, as you say your I-Do’s in a most picturesque place.
The wedding barn at Chycara offers a modern approach to a barn style wedding, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lush gardens surrounding it.
The venue is a blank canvas. Decorate how you like, eat what you like, dance to what you like. We’ll provide some of the essentials.
The barn comfortably seats 75 guests, but if you’re happy to squeeze a few more in then you’re welcome to.
