The leisure complex consists of a tennis court, swimming pool with changing facilities and showers, hot tub and sauna.

Killiow Golf Course is about a mile away. As well as the walks in the gardens, there are numerous public footpaths and bridleways adjacent to Chycara and the Bissoe Tramway Cycle Track is close by.

There are pubs in nearby Devoran and Perranwell both of which serve good food, and further facilities in Carnon Downs and Penelewey.

JULIA MACDONALD-HYPNOTHERAPIST

A break in such an idyllic location can offer the opportunity for reflection and re-assessment. Chycara enjoys the services of visiting Hypnotherapist and Life Coach Julia MacDonald, who holds a diploma from the European College of Holistic Medicine, and is one of the few qualified Lightning Process practitioners in the South West. Julia’s dramatic recovery from illness and her positive and affirming attitude make her an inspiring therapist with whom to explore the changes visitors might wish to make in their own lives.

Sessions last approximately 1 hour and can be booked in advance through Chycara for the special price of £40. Most people experience significant change in 1-3 sessions.

Chycara is an ideal place to stay for those people who come to Cornwall to do the Lightning Process and recover their health, and there are future plans to run some of these courses at Chycara. Further details about Lightning Process can be found at www.lightningprocess.com
